Creating Your Story

Greetings,

Summertime is here and growth is happening – in our gardens and here at Center for Spiritual Living Boulder Valley. Our theme this month is Creativity and I love the affirmation shared by Rev. Raymont Anderson from CSL Greater Baltimore: “I create the story of my life with every thought I think and every word I speak. Today, I choose to be more mindful, vigilant, and purposeful of the power that I have access to. I understand that there is a Power for Good in the Universe and I AM using it!” What “story of your life” are you creating? Are you using the Power for Good that is always available to each of us? I don’t know about you, but sometimes I need reminders. When I’m at my best, I remember how very blessed I am; that even when times seem challenging, the wisdom and guidance of Spirit are always available. As I recognize and give thanks for my many blessings, they seem to magically multiply. God is good! I invite you to use the ‘Power for Good’ in your life – today and every day!

Speaking of creating the stories of our life, Mary and I are creating our next story: Retirement in Grand Junction beginning this fall, though the details are still in process. I love CSLBV and have been honored to be your minister, but we are ready for a slower lifestyle and this fall seems like the right time.

And CSLBV is already creating its next story as well. There is a wonderful transition team (currently Rev. Lea and the Board of Trustees, with prayer support by our amazing Practitioners, but that could expand) working with the CSL Regional Support Coordinator on the next steps for this amazing spiritual community. Our CSLBV community is strong, active, and continuing to grow in love, and that will not change. In fact, we’ll be having New Member Orientation and Welcome in July or August because there are folks who want to be integrally involved in the upcoming changes.

And we at CSLBV are creating our story of ongoing abundance: In June we successfully affiliated with PayPal’s Giving Fund, a way to conveniently contribute online with no costs to you OR the Center. It’s really a win-win if your credit card gives cash back or mileage rewards for what you donate! Elsewhere in the newsletter you can read more about how to easily donate to Center for Spiritual Living Boulder Valley even when you’re off having a wonderful time on your summer vacation. We want to make it easy and we appreciate your generous support!

Classes at the Center are a great way to support you in creating the next story in your magnificent life, and some great classes are currently in progress at CSLBV. Practitioner Kelly Robbins is teaching Foundations and Rev. Lea is doing her always popular Meditation class where she focuses on a different type of meditation each week. It’s a drop-in class ($18 per class) and if you need some inspiration and motivation to meditate, come to the Center on Tuesday evenings at 6:30. There’s no class on July 23rd and the last class is August 6th. Foundations will be taught again in September. If you haven’t taken it, or haven’t taken it recently, plan to take it starting in September.

In July, I’ll be in the office on most Thursday afternoons (July 11th, 18th, and 25th, but not the 4th) from 2:30-5:30, as usual. I’m also delighted to be in the office at other times by appointment. Feel free to call if you’d like to come in to chat or to pray, or if you have suggestions you’d like to share. Practitioner Kelly Robbins is in the office on Wednesday mornings, so call her if you’d like to meet with her. I look forward to seeing you on Sunday mornings and at our inspiring and fun events!

Journey joyfully, knowing that you are blessed, and you ARE a blessing. May your life and your gardens bloom beautifully and productively!

Love, Reverend Jyoti
