Direct Inner Knowing

Our individuated human minds are incarnated out of the infinite beingness of the One Mind. Our human thoughts are made of the same divine substance/energy as the Thought and Word of God. The creative power and possibility that is our birthright is only limited by the size of the mold we offer for its expression. Are we bound to the scope of our previous experience and understanding, or are we willing to surrender into a bigger idea?

The “still small voice” within us whispers that we are more than we think we are. As divine-humans, we are each a vehicle for Spirit to experience and express Itself as us. Our life is Spirit’s “pet project,” and we know Spirit always supports its projects! It’s up to us to cooperate with the ever-expanding Good which awaits our acceptance of it. By tuning into the Divine Intelligence that lives within us, we are guided into the thoughts, words, and actions that secure the fulfillment of that Good for ourselves, our communities, and our world. We’re grateful for our ego-intellect’s problem-solving skills, and celebrate our inner gift of a deeper kind of Knowing that’s available to us when we trust and allow its guidance. -Rev. Lin Nowicki

Being In The Inquiry

“The ‘still small voice’ within us whispers that we are more than we think we are.”

One beautiful access to The Still Small Voice or Direct Inner Knowing is to ask questions and not be looking for an answer-Being In The Inquiry. Our culture, family and media bombards us with messages about having to have the answer, reaching the goal, getting what you deserve! When we’re asking questions, and not looking for answers, we’re using part of the brain where the “still small voice” has a graceful entree and way to speak to us. When we get present in the moment and start asking the questions an energy field can arise that is sourced from Alpha waves and maybe even Theta waves in our brain. Our brain has several different potential frequency or brain wave patterns. Most of the time we’re in “doing” mode and we’re in beta frequency. If we’re in a creative mood, walking in nature or playing with our grandchildren we can be in alpha or even theta brainwave frequencies. Theta brain waves usually arise after much meditation practice. I invite you to play with this and notice if there is more grace, presence and light in your way of being.
