Please join the party this Friday to celebrate Reverend Jyoti’s retirement! She and her wife Mary are moving to Grand Junction and we will certainly miss them both. It’s so hard to say goodbye to these two amazing humans who give so much and ask for so little in return. At the same time, it’s easy to be excited for Jyoti and Mary in their next steps on this earth journey! (Please, they request no gifts – they’re moving!!) There is a beautiful book to sign and all are welcome to speak during the toast at 7:30.

Coincidentally our awesome Practitioner Lorelei Matisse, has decided to move to Florida where the paddle boarding is great, so we will be sending her off with much Love as well.

This leaves us in the most excellent and capable hands with our ‘new’ Sr. Minister, Rev. Lea Alvarado. She has been our Assistant Minister since November 2018 and a Practitioner prior to that. As Rev. Jyoti said on Sunday, we’re lucky to have her!

Always check our Events Calendarfor upcoming events and classes. We have an exciting Third Thursday Spiritual Forum scheduled for this Thursday, Sept 19: Introduction to Shamanism. It should be very good — as they all are!

We are looking for a benefactor/sponsor to purchase flowers for the altar every Sunday for $20 per week. This will continue our partnership with Lafayette Florist AND you get to take the flowers home with you after every Sunday service to enjoy and bless your space! Please contact Rev. Lea or any board member if this is something you would like to contribute. And we heartily Thank Jyoti and Mary for their gracious generosity in providing the beautiful flowers up until now.

Bittersweet. That’s what I call this time of year, when we celebrate the harvest while the grasses begin to dry and die back. (And some of us start sneezing…!) The season changes, leaves fall, and we get ready for the quiet time of autumn and winter. This is an exciting time for CSLBV. Change is an amazing opportunity for growth, expression of new ways and expansion. Bring on the Joy and Magic!
