Honoring the Light Within

This month we are honoring and celebrating the light. And although lights show up in many ways this time of year on Christmas trees and homes, the light I am referring to is a much deeper light that signifies the light within. This is a time of year to be reminded of the light that burns brightly within each of us through our connection to the divine. This spark of divine light is something that can never be diminished or extinguished. It is a light that we came into the world with and it is what we take with us as we transition as a soul into the spirit realm. It is our divine connection and it remains with us for eternity.

Christmas celebrates the birth of Jesus but truly, it is our own birth that we should be honoring, not our physical birth but the birth of our consciousness; the awakening of the Christ light within us. As we awaken more and more to this light, we begin to choose love over hate and compassion and understanding over judgement. We begin to see the world through a new lens and become teachers of love.

This is a beautiful time of year to be reminded of the light of our true nature and to celebrate the growth and continued expansion of our consciousness. In the coming days and weeks leading up to Christmas, practice connecting to the light within you. Bring to mind a shift that you would like to experience in your life and surround it with this light. Celebrate it and honor it and feel gratitude in your heart for the expansion taking place within you. And then on Christmas morning, take a moment to celebrate your own birth; the awakening of the Christ light within.

Wishing you a beautiful and magical holiday season filled with love, peace, and an abundance of light.

  1. Yes, I want to embody this light and shine it outward. Especially when everyone looks grumpy and stressed by the season. Good message.
