“If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is: infinite.” — William Blake, 1757-1827, English poet and painter
“Metaphysical” is defined as “beyond the physical.” We have five physical senses, but we also have five psychic senses that are the same: sight, hearing, touch, taste and smell. Experiences beyond the physical are quite often associated with the spiritual. I’m not clear if there is a line between psychic and spiritual which brings me to the unexplained. Metaphysical is an attempt to define the unexplained. I’m talking about those instances that you feel as if something is about to happen or has already happened for which you have no explanation. Premonitions is another word that comes to mind. I’m sure you all have had your fair share of premonitions. Sometimes, there’s fear associated with these feelings that are unexplained.
So, we have, metaphysical, beyond the physical, spiritual, unexplained or a premonition. This week, think of these instances that have happened in your life that fit into these categories. I’m sure there are many! How do these experiences make you feel? Are you empowered? Are you experiencing a new sense of freedom? What God qualities would you assign to these experiences now? See if there is room to have these experiences without fear. This is an opportunity to change your experience through your metaphysical interpretation of what has occurred. Enjoy your week.
