Our theme this month is Gifts of the Season. Are you seeing and feeling the gifts all around you? In case you’ve forgotten, let me remind you that you are surrounded by the light, love, abundance, beauty and joy of the Divine. It is right here where you are, just waiting to be acknowledged, received, and shared. I know this is a busy time, but I invite you to take time in the silence to count your blessings and be refreshed and inspired. And, of course, come on Sunday mornings and to our other events to have your heart lifted. Love Lives Here, so come and soak it up!

Mary and I are especially blessed to have a new kitty cat, Buttercup. We lost the last of our two old cats in April and our vet has been ‘saving’ this special cat for us ever since. We’ve had her for almost a week and she’s still mostly hiding. We almost renamed her Maytag because she spends so much time behind the washing machine. Maybe she’ll come out in time to put her picture in next month’s newsletter. I sure hope so. : )

We are still waiting for Spirit to reveal our next steps as we open to CSLBV’s new larger space. Dave Sutton, the realtor who’s been keeping an eye out for a possible place for us, said there should be more available at the beginning of the year. We’re looking for about 3600 square feet – with a potential sanctuary space that will hold 75-100 and more room for musicians. Please hold the Center in prayer and if you see or think of someplace that might be just right for us, give me a call, OK?

Thanks to all who helped with cleaning, switching the kids’ room and office, and decorating for the holidays, as well as all who are generously providing Christmas gifts for Precious Gift, our December outreach project. The energy at the Center is wonderful and high – this is a really exciting time for me to be your Senior Minister, as we are growing and are blessed with our Assistant Minister, Reverend Lea, new Practitioners Loralei and Kelly, and new folks in our spiritual community. I’m looking forward to our New Member induction in January. If you’re interested in deepening into your spirituality as an official member of CSL Boulder Valley, talk to Reverend Jyoti or Reverend Lea. We’ll have a couple of after-service opportunities in the next six weeks for you to get more information about membership. Stay tuned. If you haven’t been to the Center in awhile, come and check us out again!

Our Candlelight Service will be on Sunday morning, December 23rd, at 10:00, our regular service time. The music will be outstanding and hearts will be opened as we share The Gift of Light. Then on Sunday, December 30th, we’ll focus on The Gift of Letting Go – letting go of all that’s past and opening to our highest and best in 2019. Our traditional World Peace Meditation will take place on the last morning of the year, Monday the 31st, at 5:00 am. It’s not a very convenient time, but it’s scheduled so that people all across the planet can be praying for peace at the same time. It’s one of my favorite services of the year – quiet, meditative, peaceful and hopeful.

December is a time of great joy, and can also be a time of fairly high stress. In this time of busyness, it’s especially important to make sure you care for yourself by taking quiet time for prayer, meditation, and whatever other spiritual practices feed your soul. Trust me, it will make a difference! And as you do your holiday shopping, I encourage you to honor and care for yourself by not overspending and by remembering that You Are the Gift!

In December, I’ll be in the office on Thursday afternoons as usual. I’m also available at other times by appointment, of course. Please call if you’d like to come in to pray or talk about whatever’s on your heart, or to share your thoughts about ways to make our Center even more powerful and magnificent.

I look forward to seeing you on Sunday mornings! Journey joyfully, knowing that you are blessed and you ARE a blessing! Happy Holidays!

Much Love,
Reverend Jyoti
