As I write this, Mary and I have just returned from a wonderfully relaxing beach vacation – truly an opportunity to drink in the divine. I spent hours and hours watching and listening to the gentle waves lapping against the shore. As I awoke each morning to that sweet sound, I was reminded of the eternality and abundance of the Divine. For millions of years the tides have been responding to the pull of the moon. Each wave a part of the ocean, and yet individual and unique as it creeps or caresses or dances or pounds onto the shore. An abundance of waves, never-ending. More grains of sand in a handful than I can count. More seashells than I can imagine. That, beloveds, is the universe we live in. Abundant, magical, filled with beauty and awe, with each of us a wonderfully original expression of Life, of Love, of amazing possibility. We are so blessed and I am SO grateful.
Grateful, too, for the wonderful spiritual community known as CSL Boulder Valley, for our commitment to Outreach projects that serve the greater community, for the great guest speakers and musicians that inspire us, and for all who keep the Center running smoothly whether Mary and I are around or not! I’m especially grateful for the outpouring of love and delicious desserts for Henry Badgett’s memorial. Henry was an inspiration to me, as he was always so very positive and gracious and grateful. As we remember Henry, let’s count our blessings and remember his oft repeated phrase, “I live SUCH a blessed life.” We will miss Henry’s smile and his heart and his light, and we surround his sweet wife Judy Franconi and their whole family in love, love, love.
Our theme this month is Spiritual Laws and How to Use Them, which is pretty much what we focus on every month. : ) We’ll look at the deep well of the Divine and how to access it, how we can create lives of joy and magnificence, and how to look beyond the facts of life’s challenges to the inherent truth and amazing possibilities they offer.
In May, I’ll be in the office on Thursday afternoons from 2:30-5:30, as usual. I’m also in the office at other times by appointment. Feel free to call if you’d like to come in to chat or to pray, or if you have ideas or suggestions you’d like to share.
I look forward to seeing you on Sunday mornings or at our other events! Journey joyfully, knowing that you are blessed, and you ARE a blessing! We are so blessed and I am SO grateful.
Love, Reverend Jyoti
