Greetings Beloveds,
Wow, it’s time to change our clocks again and start enjoying longer days and longer evenings. The months do seem to go by quickly.
Our theme this month is Rooted in the Divine, and I’m enjoying delving into ways we can sink our roots deeper into the good of God and have it bring forth greater abundance and joy in every area of our lives. This coming Sunday I’ll be talking about Soaking up God’s Good. I love imagining soaking up God’s good like plants soaking up nutrients from the soil and the sunshine and the rain. We’re blessed to have Rev. Gregory Toole back on the 18th to talk about Building Your House on Solid Ground, and then my message on the 25th, in preparation for Easter the next week, will be Time to Plant. As we welcome in Spring, it’s a great time to think about what kind of newness we’re ready to open to in this new season.
Karen Karsh, our wonderful Music Director, will be working with a small group of singers for Easter morning. If you’d like to be part of that group, let me or Karen know, or sign up in the lobby on Sunday morning. It’ll be fun and easy, and I can hardly wait to hear the final result!
We had a wonderful time celebrating Henry Badgett’s 90th birthday, and we’ve had some GREAT response to our Outreach projects. Thanks to all of you who have gone over and above to support the OUR Center in Longmont, and thanks in advance for your support of the Boulder Homeless Shelter. If you have a favorite charity you think would be great for our Outreach, let me know. I’m now in the process of completing the Outreach Calendar for the rest of the year.
A big THANK YOU goes out to Jay Burch for his great work putting together our Third Thursday Spiritual Forums. They’ve been interesting and inspiring, and this month will be incredible as well. Kimberly Braun will open your mind and delight your heart as she talks about the power of silence. I hope to see you there, as well as at the Multi-Faith Approach to Immigration Program, and our First Wednesday Meditations for Peace. With all that’s going on in our world, it’s a sweet thing to be able to take some time out to meditate with others.
Did you know that our Sunday message videos are posted on our website, cslbouldervalley.org, along with lots of other information? If you’re not able to make it to church on Sunday morning, you can still catch the message, and you can also support the Center online by clicking the DONATE button.
In March, I’ll be in the office on Thursday afternoons from 2:30-5:30, as usual. I’m also in the office at other times by appointment. Feel free to call if you’d like to come in to chat or to pray, or if you have suggestions you’d like to share.
As March signals the end of winter and the beginning of spring, it’s a great time to consider what seeds we want to plant – in our gardens and in our consciousness. I look forward to seeing you on Sunday mornings! Journey joyfully, knowing that you are blessed, and you ARE a blessing!
Love, Reverend Jyoti
