Dear Friends,

rainbowThe Board of Trustees went on a retreat the weekend of September 23rd at YMCA of the Rockies outside of Estes Park.  The scenery was beautiful, including a perfectly timed rainbow, and the elk were plentiful, and yes, it was cold at night.

And the board, guided by Lea Alvarado, got to work.

Our goal was to develop a vision, mission and purpose statement that align with the vision, mission and purpose of the overarching Centers for Spiritual Living organization, which are:

Purpose: To awaken humanity to its spiritual magnificence.
Mission:  To provide spiritual tools for personal and global transformation.
Vision:  A world that works for everyone.

We worked diligently and with great focus for over 24 hours to develop the following:

Purpose: Celebrating divinity, embracing humanity, creating community.

Mission:  To awaken our community to its spiritual magnificence.

Vision:  Inspiring and uplifting every one of us to transform the world.

One of the things we realized over the course of this work is how “small” our previous vision statement felt compared to the new one.  So I invite you, our community, to step into this larger vision of ourselves and our place and role in the world.  We are truly making a difference.

Love and Light,

Laura L. McGee, RScP
President, Board of Trustees
