Greetings. December – a time to look back at the past year, look ahead to 2017, and to celebrate the light that’s around us right now. With Winter Solstice on the 21st, Chanukah being observed from December 24th – January 1st, and Christmas on the 25th, there are plenty of holidays to celebrate. And with our monthly theme of The Living Spirit, The Living Light, we’ll be talking about, calling in, and celebrating the light in our lives.
Thanks to all who did such an amazing job decorating the Center for the holidays. It’s beautiful and festive and is always filled with the wonderful energy of this amazing spiritual community. I LOVE being your minister!
December is a time of great joy, and can also be a time of fairly high stress. In this time of busyness, it is especially important to make sure you have some quiet time for prayer, meditation, and whatever other spiritual practices feed your soul. Trust me, it will make a difference! And as you do your holiday shopping, I encourage you to honor and care for yourself by not overspending.
Looking ahead to January, we’ll have a potluck and our Annual Meeting on January 29th, so put that on your calendar now.
In December, I’ll be in the office on Thursday afternoons from 2:30-5:30, as usual. I’m also in the office at other times by appointment. Feel free to call if you’d like to come in to chat or to pray, or just to get to know each other better.
If you’re in town, don’t miss our annual Candlelight Service on Christmas morning, Sunday, December 25th and the World Peace Meditation on Saturday, December 31st at 5:00 am. Both are beautiful services that will refresh your soul and renew your energy.
I look forward to seeing you on Sunday mornings! Journey joyfully, knowing that you are blessed and you ARE a blessing!
Love, Rev. Jyoti
